With the new excitement of finding out I am pregnant came the curiosity of wondering what in the world was about to happen to my body and the list of what to and what not to eat, take, do, etc. Mike put his foot down...
No internet searching to answer my questions.
I have bought some books and started reading about the changes I am currently going through in addition to things to come. I did sign up for thebump.com because it sends you useful information such as suggested tasks during each week of your pregnancy.
Of course Mike and I have started searching through our bank of girl and boy names and although we thought we had already nailed down our favorites, our list has expanded since and keeps on growing...whew.
How do I feel?
As anticipated I think. I wake up nauseous every morning although I haven't actually been physically ill yet. I snack on Ritz through the morning as my energy increases and my stomach settles. Then like clock work about 11:35 I crash and having a burning desire for a nap followed by my next wave of nausea. About 1pm my energy returns to be sucked away again around 4pm where I desperately need a nap to get through the evening. I awake from my nap nauseous again. Unfortunately this necessary afternoon nap makes we wide awake at 10pm when I'd really like to be going to bed. Sigh...
What people don't tell you...
Pregnant women have told me that you should drink more water. No one told me that you have to drink more water because the apple seed in your belly sucks every last ounce of liquid from you. Seriously I go through 5-6 bottles of water and still feel parched. Luckily my desire for coffee and soda is basically non existent so far so I'm not missing anything.
What's next?
March 29th I have my 8 week appt where I should get to hear the heart beat provided I don't miscarry (crossing my fingers).
By the way, I will be six weeks tomorrow
